Mmm... It's so good to be in the sun!
The weekend in Shepparton has turned out like a big eating spree. *Big smiles.* Yum yum. We started off on Friday night, eating at a fantastic Thai restaurant. They served the most delicious curries: creamy, but not too rich, and fabulous with rice. One of the waiters was Scottish, and had this lovely accent! that we imitated in reply to his telling us about where to go in Shepp on a Friday night. hehe...
Then come Saturday morning, we had brunch at Friars cafe, in the sun, fighting flies at the same time. Summer must be just around the corner! Really good sourdough sandwich. Gourmet pizza that was really gourmet. Bonus. Really good atmosphere. Felt so spoilt. Eating my first meal of the day at 1pm! And nobody to tell me off. And nothing on my timetable. Good company. I wanted it to last forever...
We were all a bit broke by time it came to dinner. So home-made dinner it was: 9 dishes for 5 people! Plus I made watermelon juice raspberry spider, which looked fab. (see photo) *grin*
To top it all off, AiLan & I went into hospital, and there it was, a patient with multiple myeloma. MM was our PBL this week. I couldn't believe the timing. So it's been a great weekend up here. Maybe next time we'll check out Kidstown too. ^-^
